"Pas de deux" 32" x 28"
"Pas de deux" 32" x 28"
"Pas de Deux" is my quilted interpretation of Mark Maple's brilliant photo. The French name literally means a "dance for two". When I look at this photo, it says to me that the two moths are in sort of a dance. In this piece I've hand painted the entire scene as photographed and then thread painted the moths with exaggerated colors, including an application of gold glitter on the wings. The wings were then further embellishments with various colored beads. Isn't it romantic?
